It renews the assigned attachment at the seat-cushion cover location on the confirmed Touareg and Q7 applications below.

Technical details and what is included

Factory part number: 7L0-881-090 / 7L0881090.

Component type: seat trim/console mounting clip.

Quantity supplied: one individual clip.

Seat covers, console pieces, seat frame, guide rails and adjustment components are separately specified.

Compare the original mounting profile and clip location before ordering. This is a trim attachment component, not a seat-frame mounting bolt, adjustment mechanism or electrical connector. The correct seat equipment and cover arrangement determine fitment; a vehicle's engine alone does not identify its installed trim hardware.

Common reasons to replace

A broken or damaged clip prevents the original cover from remaining seated.

The clip is missing after seat-trim removal or previous service.

Damage to the original attachment requires renewal at the specified mounting point.

A loose seat-cover attachment is traced to this clip after inspection.

Inspect the cover and console attachment points separately. A cracked cover, damaged mounting tab or incompatible trim piece requires its own repair; fitting a replacement clip will not restore a broken cover.
