Beyond these tolerances, if your car has been damaged where the strut tower alignment may be off, for more than what our bar can compensate for, then this may not be the solution for you.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThe job of the strut bar is to brace the strut towers. You don't need pre-load to do this. Simply a very stable, stronghold to transfer load and keep the body solid. Pre-loading is only going to put the towers under unwanted stress all the time. There is more force pulling the opposite tower than forcing outward on the tower under the cornering load. This was confirmed by measuring the actual load on the bar.
