OVERVIEW
The Eventuri Carbon Charge Pipe V3 Upgrade Kit for the FK8 Civic Type R is designed exclusively for customers who already have the previous Eventuri carbon turbo tube and want to step up to the latest high-volume configuration. This upgrade increases internal diameter and overall volume to further reduce restriction before the turbocharger, allowing the turbo to spool faster, operate more efficiently at peak boost, and deliver measurable performance gains throughout the rev range.
With inlet diameters increasing from the OEM 63mm to 78mm at the intake connection and expanding to 88mm through the main section, the V3 design provides a 96% increase in cross-sectional area over the factory pipe. This dramatic increase in internal volume reduces turbine loading and improves boost response, resulting in dyno-proven gains of 9hp and 9ft-lb at peak, with up to 15hp and 18ft-lb in the mid-range below 4,000rpm where the FK8 spends the majority of its time on the street and track.
Flow quality is equally critical. The V3 carbon tube is manufactured from high-temperature pre-preg carbon fiber with a smooth internal surface and optimized curvature to minimize turbulence. This provides a more stable and efficient airflow path compared to the rough cast aluminum OEM inlet. To combat heat transfer from the turbocharger, the system utilizes a machined turbo flange paired with a silicone coupler and integrated thermal spacer, preventing direct heat conduction into the carbon tube and helping maintain lower intake air temperatures under load.
The result is a more responsive turbo system, improved mid-range torque, and a sharper, more immediate power delivery while retaining OEM-level fitment and the signature Eventuri carbon fiber engine bay aesthetic.
