OVERVIEW

Restore controlled fuel-vapor purging with the original valve and tube

06E-133-781-K is the Genuine VW/Audi EVAP purge-valve assembly with its assigned connecting tube. It controls vapor flow from the charcoal-canister circuit into the intake on the specified 3.0L supercharged gasoline applications.

The engine management system commands the purge valve as part of normal evaporative-emissions operation. Correct valve function and intact hose connections are necessary to meter vapor without creating an unintended intake leak.

Technical details

  • Complete factory number: 06E-133-781-K.
  • Factory specification: factory connecting tube with activated-charcoal-filter purge valve, revision K.
  • Design: electrically connected purge valve with the short formed hose shown in the original photograph.
  • Quantity supplied: one individual purge-valve and connecting-tube assembly.

One assembly is supplied. The charcoal canister, other vapor lines, intake manifold, wiring harness and separate mounting hardware are not included. Match the original valve, tube routing and electrical connection before ordering.

Common reasons to replace

  • Diagnosis confirms that the purge valve leaks when commanded closed.
  • The valve fails the specified electrical or functional test.
  • A split connecting hose creates a leak at this assembly.
  • The housing or connection is damaged during service.

Check the full EVAP circuit and intake connections before replacing the valve. Fault codes, rough idle or difficult starting after refueling can have several causes. Use the prescribed diagnostic procedure to identify a valve or hose fault rather than replacing the part from symptoms alone.

Vehicle fitment

The table covers the specified gasoline supercharged engines. Identical displacement does not establish diesel fitment. Confirm production date, original valve number and hose routing for the vehicle.

Installation guidance

Follow the engine-specific EVAP service procedure, disconnect the electrical connector correctly and release hose fittings without damaging adjacent lines. Keep dirt out of the vapor circuit and install the tube in its original routing without kinks or tension.

Complete the required leak and functional checks. Verify that the valve responds to the diagnostic command and that the intake and vapor connections remain secure.
