OVERVIEW
The 06F-145-757-L Genuine VW/Audi turbo oil return line gasket seals the matching return-line flange so oil leaving the turbocharger remains inside the oil circuit. A leaking flange can leave oil around the line connection and nearby engine components. This is the separate gasket for the joint, making it a useful service part when a matching return line is removed.

Common reasons to replace
Replace a gasket that was disturbed during line removal, has a damaged sealing profile, or is at a confirmed leaking return-line flange. Oil staining, fresh wetness or a drip near the connection are reasons to inspect the joint. Oil reaching a hot surface may also produce an odor, but that symptom does not identify the gasket as the cause.
Clean and inspect the area to distinguish a flange leak from oil running down from another component. Check the line for damage and the mating faces for defects. A new gasket will not repair a cracked tube, a distorted flange or an obstruction in the oil return path.
Service notes
Follow the vehicle-specific procedure for access and oil-line removal. Keep debris out of the open oil passage, clean the mating surfaces without scratching them, and use the correct fasteners and tightening specification.
