Renew the original molded coolant connector hose
06K-121-049-A is the Genuine VW/Audi short coolant hose for the specified engine cooling connections. The molded bend and original end geometry allow the hose to follow the assigned route without being stretched or kinked.
Cooling hoses are exposed to repeated heat and pressure cycles. Age, external damage or deterioration at a clamp position can cause a leak even when the adjoining pipes remain serviceable.

One hose is supplied. Clamps, adjoining pipes, adapters, coolant and other service components are separate. A similarly shaped hose with a different suffix may have different dimensions or routing.
Common reasons to replace
- The hose is split, cracked or visibly deteriorated.
- A leak is confirmed at the hose body or damaged end.
- The hose has swollen, softened or been damaged by contamination.
- The original hose is damaged during an approved cooling-system repair.
Inspect clamps, mating nipples and nearby hoses. Trace the leak before replacing the hose, and correct damaged fittings or contamination that could cause a repeat failure. Do not use the hose to bridge incompatible pipe sizes.

Installation guidance
Allow the engine to cool completely and follow the prescribed pressure-release and draining procedure. Clean the mating nipples, position the hose and clamps at their original locations, and avoid twist, tension or contact with hot or moving parts.
Refill and bleed using the specified coolant and model-specific procedure. Check the hose connections for leaks through the required operating-temperature cycle and recheck coolant level as directed.
