OVERVIEW
Restore the original turbocharger oil return path
06K-145-735-T is the Genuine VW/Audi oil return line for the specified turbocharged gasoline engines. The shaped line carries oil away from the turbocharger through the original outlet connection and back into the engine's return circuit.
The line's original bends, end connections and flexible section provide the required routing around the turbocharger assembly. A damaged return line or compromised connection can allow an oil leak; replacing the correct component preserves the original routing and clearance.
Technical details
- Complete factory number: 06K-145-735-T.
- Factory specification: factory turbocharger oil outlet/return line, revision T.
- Design: formed metal end sections with mounting ears, sealing connections and a flexible protected center section, as pictured.
- Quantity supplied: one individual turbocharger oil return line.
One individual line assembly is supplied as pictured. Turbocharger, oil feed line, mounting bolts, engine oil and separately required seals are not included. Renew the seals specified by the applicable repair procedure even if the removed line still carries old seals.
Common reasons to replace
- The original line is cracked, kinked or physically damaged.
- An oil leak is traced to the line or its end connection.
- The flexible section has deteriorated or been damaged during service.
- The line is damaged during turbocharger removal or installation.
Identify the leak source and inspect the turbocharger outlet, engine-side connection, seals and mounting points. A new return line cannot repair a cracked housing or resolve an unrelated turbocharger fault. Check for contact or tension that could damage the replacement.

Installation guidance
Allow the engine and turbocharger to cool. Follow the engine-specific removal procedure, protect open oil passages from contamination and install the specified new seals. Seat the line without twisting the flexible section or forcing misaligned connections.
Tighten the fasteners to the relevant factory specification, restore any affected oil level and carry out the prescribed leak check. Confirm that the line has its intended clearance from hot or moving components.
Ordering information
