Genuine VW/Audi 09G-409-061-F transfers heat between the automatic transmission fluid circuit and the engine coolant circuit. The compact stacked-plate exchanger mounts at the assigned transmission connection.
Correct heat exchange helps the transmission fluid follow its intended operating temperature range. The fluid and coolant passages remain separate inside a sound cooler, with the mounting seals closing the external connections.

Installation guidance
Follow the factory cooling and automatic transmission service procedures with the engine cool. Keep both circuits clean, fit the correct new seals and tighten the cooler and connections to the specified values.
Refill and bleed the coolant circuit and set the transmission fluid level using the required fluid, temperature and procedure. Check both circuits for leaks and verify normal operating temperature.
