Finish and protect an unused 12V socket
The Genuine VW/Audi 3R0-919-311 blanking plug fits the assigned interior power outlet when the socket is unused. Its insert body and cap provide the factory-style closure for the matching outlet.
This is a removable blanking insert. It does not supply a heating element, electrical socket, power adapter or charging function. Match the original socket and insert before ordering.

The socket opening, insert engagement and cap shape must match the original application. Different outlets within a vehicle can use different covers; this plug does not replace a hinged cover or damaged socket assembly.
Common reasons to replace
- The original insert has been lost or misplaced.
- The cap or retaining body is cracked or damaged.
- The installed plug no longer remains securely seated in its matching outlet.
Inspect the socket for foreign material and visible damage before fitting the plug. Loose electrical contacts, a failed fuse or a nonfunctional outlet require diagnosis of the outlet circuit separately.

Installation guidance
With the outlet unused and the vehicle switched off, check that the opening is clear and fit the plug by hand. Do not force an incompatible insert into the socket or use tools that could contact the live terminal.
Confirm that the cap sits correctly and can be removed by hand when the outlet is needed. Replace a damaged socket separately if it will not retain the correct plug.
