Installation guidance
Follow the factory procedure for the exact rear brake assembly. Support the vehicle correctly, release the parking-brake mechanism as directed and preserve the original spring orientation. Inspect the backing plates where the pins seat before fitting the new hardware. Replace damaged supporting parts rather than forcing the retainers into place.
Keep grease and other contamination away from the shoe linings and rotor friction surfaces. After assembly, set shoe clearance and parking-brake adjustment using the factory procedure, then verify free rotation with the brake released and correct holding action before returning the vehicle to service.
