OVERVIEW
Genuine VW/Audi brown 4-pin connector housing
8K0-973-754-A is the original brown four-position electrical contact housing used at assigned switch connections. The confirmed door-harness applications below include electric-window and other specified door-switch circuits where this complete housing number is used.
This is a bare connector housing rather than a complete wired repair lead. It locates the correct contacts and provides the original mating profile. Terminals and wiring are not included, and replacing the housing does not alter the circuit's original pin assignment.
Technical details and supplied quantity
- Manufacturer part number: 8K0-973-754-A; compact reference 8K0973754A.
- Brand: Genuine VW/Audi.
- Configuration: brown 4-pin contact housing.
- Confirmed applications: the individual switch connections specified in the fitment table.
- Quantity: one housing per purchase. Terminals, repair wires, switches and wiring harnesses are separate.
Match the complete part number, keyed profile and contact arrangement. A four-pin count alone does not establish compatibility. The separate black 8K0973754 housing and other similarly shaped connectors can serve different functions.
Common reasons to replace
- The original housing is cracked or broken during door-trim or switch service.
- Retaining features are damaged and no longer secure the mating connection.
- Contact cavities or retaining areas are damaged and cannot hold the correct terminals.
- An incorrect housing has been substituted during a previous wiring repair.
Check the terminals and conductors before transferring them to a new housing. Corroded contacts, broken wires or a defective switch require separate repair. Intermittent window or switch operation should be diagnosed at the specific circuit rather than assumed to be a housing fault.
Vehicle fitment
Use the body, equipment and circuit restrictions below together with the original connector identity. This housing is used at more than one switch location, so the same model name does not make every four-pin connector interchangeable.

Installation and wiring-repair guidance
Follow the factory door-trim and electrical wiring-repair procedures. Isolate the applicable supply as prescribed and record the original conductor positions before releasing any terminals.
Use the correct terminal-release tool, inspect the contacts and restore each serviceable terminal to its original cavity. Replace damaged wiring or contacts with the specified repair components. Do not force a terminal into an incompatible cavity or alter the original pin assignment.
Check that the contacts and mating connection are fully retained. Restore the original harness routing without pinching it behind the trim, then verify operation of the affected switch and any related functions disturbed during service. Additional electrical faults require separate diagnosis.
