OVERVIEW
Genuine VW/Audi upper ECU housing cover, part number 8K1-907-613-C. This shaped cover closes the top of the engine-control-unit enclosure. Together with the matching lower housing and correctly seated perimeter seal, it helps protect the enclosed electrical components from moisture, dirt and debris.

Common reasons to replace
Replace a missing cover, cracked housing, damaged mounting point or a cover that no longer seats correctly against its matching lower enclosure. Inspect the perimeter seal and the surrounding housing when moisture or debris is found in the electronics compartment.
Electrical faults require diagnosis of the affected module, wiring and connectors. A new cover does not reverse existing corrosion or repair a failed control unit. Check the complete enclosure, drains, adjacent seams and wiring entry points when investigating water ingress.
Installation and service notes
Follow the applicable electrical-system isolation and access procedure. Confirm that the lower housing and sealing surfaces are intact and clean, and check that wiring is routed correctly without being trapped beneath the cover.
Seat the perimeter seal evenly and engage the cover's prescribed mounting points. Follow the factory fastening procedure without distorting the cover. Inspect the full enclosure and verify the relevant electrical functions after service; address any existing moisture damage separately.
