OVERVIEW
Genuine trim and liner screw-receiving clip
The N-015-445-7 Genuine VW/Audi speed nut provides the original screw-receiving attachment at the trim and liner locations listed below. Its clip-on design fits over the assigned mounting edge so the correct screw can retain the component.
The same factory number is used at different locations across these vehicles. Identify the original clip and screw together; a nearby clip of similar appearance may have a different receiving size or mounting profile.
Technical details
- Complete factory number: N-015-445-7.
- Factory specification: 4.8 × 16.5 × 11.5.
- Design: clip-on speed nut for the original panel-screw connection.
- Quantity supplied: one individual speed nut.
The nominal catalog specification identifies the clip and intended screw arrangement rather than packaged shipping dimensions. Match the complete factory number and mounting edge. This clip is not a conventional hex nut for a machine-thread bolt.
Common reasons to replace
- The original clip is missing after trim or liner removal.
- The clip is bent or no longer grips its mounting edge.
- The screw-receiving feature has stripped or deformed.
- Corrosion or damage prevents the clip from seating correctly.
- A previous repair used an incorrect screw or substitute clip.
Inspect the receiving edge, retained component and mating screw. A new clip cannot restore a torn liner, cracked trim or damaged mounting tab. Confirm the cause of looseness before tightening replacement hardware.

Installation guidance
Follow the factory access procedure for the specific component. Remove damaged hardware carefully, preserve the mounting edge and position the replacement clip so its receiving feature aligns with the original screw hole. Start the specified screw without forcing it.
Confirm the retained component is aligned and supported before tightening to its prescribed instruction. Check that the clip remains seated and that trim, wiring or the sunblind mechanism is clear. Avoid overtightening a panel screw in a damaged receiver.
Ordering information
Supplied as one genuine speed nut. Screw, trim, liner, sunblind, instrument housing and a complete hardware kit are not included. Confirm the quantity required for the original mounting points.
