Genuine secondary-air pump attachment nut
The N-023-002-6 Genuine VW/Audi self-locking nut secures the assigned M6 mounting connection in the original secondary-air pump assembly on the configurations listed below.
The mounting arrangement includes a pump retainer and rubber isolation components. Match the nut to the original stud or bolt and complete factory number. The same model year can have a different emissions arrangement or no corresponding pump assembly.

Inspect the pump bracket, mating stud or bolt and rubber isolation mounts. A cracked bracket or worn mount can allow pump movement even with a new nut. Pump noise and emissions faults require diagnosis of the complete secondary-air system.

Installation guidance
Follow the factory pump and bracket service procedure. Support the pump, protect its hoses and electrical connection, and retain the correct arrangement of rubber mounts and hardware. Install new self-locking hardware where specified and follow the tightening instruction for the exact attachment.
Confirm that the pump is supported through its intended isolation mounts, hoses and wiring are secure, and surrounding components have clearance. Do not crush or bypass rubber isolation mounts by excessive tightening.
