OVERVIEW
Genuine interior equipment attachment hardware
The N-104-114-02 Genuine VW/Audi combination bolt is used at the assigned interior equipment connections shown in the fitment table. These include the specified TT Roadster equipment assembly and A6 electric rear-window sunshade installation.
Equipment codes and body style matter for this hardware. A vehicle sharing the same model name may use a different attachment or lack the equipment entirely. Match the original bolt number and receiving point before ordering.
Technical details
- Complete factory number: N-104-114-02.
- Nominal factory specification: M6 × 16.
- Design: hexagon-socket oval-head combination bolt with the original seating arrangement.
- Quantity supplied: one individual bolt.
The nominal specification describes the fastener itself rather than packaged shipping dimensions. Match the complete factory number, original attachment point and head seating arrangement. Similar-looking hardware elsewhere in the same assembly can differ in length, thread size or bearing surface.
Common reasons to replace
- A bolt is missing after component removal or previous service.
- The drive head is damaged or rounded.
- The threads have been crossed, stripped or otherwise damaged.
- The bolt is bent or its bearing surface no longer seats correctly.
- A previous repair used incorrect substitute hardware.
Inspect the mounting bracket, receiving threads and surrounding trim before installing a replacement. Rattles, loose trim or a sunshade that will not operate may require diagnosis of the bracket, mechanism or electrical system as well as its fasteners.

Installation guidance
Follow the factory access procedure for the specific trim or sunshade assembly. Protect trim surfaces and wiring, support the component during removal and align its mounting points before installing hardware. Use the correct hexagon-socket tool.
Align the mating components before engaging the bolt, start the threads carefully and use the correct tool for the actual drive. Follow the factory tightening instruction and sequence for the exact connection. Do not transfer torque values between different applications that happen to use the same bolt number.
Check trim alignment and mechanism clearance, and verify normal operation of equipment disturbed during the repair. Avoid pulling trim into position with the bolt.
Ordering information
Supplied as one genuine bolt. Trim, sunshade, windbreak, brackets, washers, clips and a complete hardware kit are not included. Confirm the quantity required for the repair.
