Genuine pump-injector rocker adjustment nut
The N-104-129-01 Genuine VW/Audi hexagon nut locks the assigned adjusting screw in the pump-injector rocker assembly on the BEW and BHW TDI applications listed below.
These engines use mechanically actuated pump injectors with a specified rocker adjustment. This nut belongs to that adjustment connection and must match the original screw. It is not an injector hold-down bolt, camshaft bearing fastener or general cylinder-head nut.

The factory thread specification identifies the mating connection rather than packaged shipping dimensions. Match the full part number and original adjuster. Different TDI injection systems can use completely different hardware despite sharing the 1.9L displacement.
Common reasons to replace
- The nut threads are stripped or crossed.
- The wrenching flats are rounded or damaged.
- The bearing surface is damaged and will not seat correctly.
- Incorrect hardware was fitted during a previous rocker or injector repair.
- Inspection during the prescribed rocker adjustment identifies a nut requiring replacement.
Inspect the adjusting screw, rocker assembly and injector contact surfaces. A new nut cannot repair a worn adjuster or damaged rocker. Rough running, starting faults and camshaft wear require diagnosis before hardware is replaced.
Vehicle fitment
The rows require the specified BEW or BHW pump-injector TDI engine and original rocker-adjusting screw. ALH distributor-pump engines and gasoline engines are excluded.

Installation guidance
Follow the factory pump-injector rocker adjustment procedure for the exact engine. Correct cam position, screw setting and nut tightening are part of the prescribed adjustment; do not select an arbitrary adjustment or torque from a different engine. Keep the adjuster from moving while securing the nut as instructed.
Verify the adjustment and assembly checks required by the repair procedure, restore disturbed components and complete the prescribed post-service engine checks. Correct hardware does not compensate for an incorrectly set injector rocker.
