Common reasons to replace
Replace the bolt when removing the matching mount during engine, transmission, clutch or related service, following the factory requirement for a new fastener. Damaged threads, a rounded hex head, corrosion or evidence of incorrect previous installation also warrant replacement and inspection of the mating bracket.
Excessive powertrain movement, a clunk under load or vibration can indicate a problem in the mounting system, but those symptoms do not establish that this bolt is the cause. Inspect the mount, bracket, threaded mounting hole and related hardware. New hardware will not restore torn mount rubber, a failed hydraulic mount or damaged bracket threads.
Installation and service notes
