OVERVIEW
Genuine VW/Audi high-pressure fuel-pump mounting bolt, part number N-106-247-01. This original fastener retains the mechanically driven high-pressure pump in its assigned mounting position on the specified 2.0L FSI engines. It is supplied individually for pump removal, replacement or related service.
Technical details
- Original part number: N-106-247-01 / N10624701.
- Internal six-lobe drive; published tool interface is T30 Torx.
- Application: assigned high-pressure fuel-pump mounting position on the FSI engine configurations below.
- One bolt supplied. Pump, sealing ring, cam follower, fuel lines and other mounting fasteners are separate.
- The FSI pump mounting arrangement uses three bolts; order the required quantity for your repair.
The pump mounting connection holds the pump body seated against its engine mounting surface. Correct hardware selection is important because the pump is mechanically actuated and must remain correctly positioned. This bolt does not replace the pump seal or repair wear in the pump drive components.
FSI and later chain-driven TSI engines use different fuel-system arrangements. A matching model name or turbocharged engine displacement alone does not establish interchangeability. Check the engine code, original bolt number and actual pump position before ordering.
Common reasons to replace
Replacement may be needed after damage to the internal drive recess, worn or damaged threads, corrosion affecting the mounting connection, deformation or loss during service. Renew mounting hardware whenever the applicable factory repair procedure requires replacement after removal.
High-pressure pump replacement and cam-follower inspection can require removal of the mounting bolts. Inspect the fasteners during those operations and replace unsuitable hardware before the pump is refitted. Use the correct original mounting pieces rather than a substitute chosen only by apparent length.
Fuel-pressure faults, rough running or difficult starting need diagnosis of the complete fuel system. Replacing a mounting bolt does not correct a worn cam follower, defective pump, damaged camshaft drive surface, electrical fault or leaking fuel-line connection. Repair the diagnosed cause and inspect the mounting threads and mating surfaces as part of the work.
Installation and service notes
Follow the factory fuel-system procedure for the exact engine. Release fuel pressure and prepare the work area as prescribed before disconnecting fuel lines or removing the pump. Keep dirt away from open fuel connections and the pump mounting interface.
Identify the assigned mounting positions and inspect the pump seal, drive components and threaded holes. Seat the pump according to the repair procedure; do not use the bolts to force a misaligned component into place.
Start the mounting hardware by hand in undamaged threads. Use a correctly seated T30 bit to protect the drive recess, and follow the specified tightening sequence so the pump seats evenly.
Use the factory torque, thread preparation and replacement requirements for this exact attachment. No universal torque value is provided here because similar fuel-pump bolts and other engine fasteners can have different instructions.
Reconnect the fuel lines using the specified seals and hardware. Perform the prescribed fuel-system leak and operating checks after assembly. Confirm that all mounting positions contain the correct fasteners before returning the vehicle to service.
