Common reasons to replace
Renew this bolt when the specified one-time-use connection has been loosened or removed during shock absorber, suspension link or related rear suspension service. Replace missing hardware, damaged threads, a rounded hex head, deformation or corrosion affecting installation.
A previously serviced connection may contain an unsuitable substitute or reused hardware. Inspect the complete mounting arrangement and obtain the correct bolt and any separately specified nut before reassembly.
Rear suspension noise, inconsistent damping or changes in wheel alignment require diagnosis of the damper, bushings, links and mounting points. A new bolt does not repair a worn shock absorber, torn bushing, bent link or damaged mounting hole. Correct those faults before completing the hardware connection.
