Genuine VW/Audi Threaded Sealing Plug
N-106-379-01 is an original threaded closure plug with an M12 x 1.5 x 12 specification. It closes an assigned threaded opening in the original assembly. Common reasons to replace

If leakage is present, first identify its source and inspect the plug seat, mating threads and any required separate seal. A new plug cannot repair stripped housing threads or a cracked casting. Fluid appearing near a plug can also originate from a nearby tube, gasket or connection, so confirm the cause before replacing parts.
Installation and service notes
Identify the exact assembly and original plug number by VIN. Allow the assembly to cool and follow its service procedure for access, fluid handling, sealing hardware and tightening. Use the correct internal-drive tool fully seated in the recess. Inspect the threaded opening and seating face, start the plug without cross-threading, and install any separately specified seal according to the repair instructions. Do not assume every M12 plug is interchangeable or infer a tightening value from thread size alone. After service, restore fluid levels where applicable and check the serviced area for leakage.
