OVERVIEW

Genuine VW/Audi rear stabilizer bar bracket bolt, part number N-107-193-01. This original mounting fastener secures the rear stabilizer bar support bracket to the vehicle on the specified early Mk6 GTI arrangement. The production-date cutoff in the fitment table is essential: later vehicles use different mounting hardware.

Technical details

  • Original number: N-107-193-01 / N10719301.
  • Published nominal size: M8 x 28.
  • Internal multi-point drive and collar beneath the head.
  • Assigned position: rear stabilizer bar support bracket-to-vehicle attachment.
  • Applicable production: through September 3, 2012 for the listed GTI arrangement.
  • One bolt supplied. Bracket, bushing, stabilizer bar and other fasteners are separate.

The support bracket retains the stabilizer bar bushing at its mounting point. Correct bracket hardware keeps the support assembly seated while the stabilizer bar and bushings operate through suspension movement. This bolt is distinct from the hardware that joins the stabilizer bar to its end links.

Model year alone does not establish fitment at this mounting position. A 2013 model-year vehicle may fall on either side of the production change. Confirm the vehicle build date and original bolt number before ordering.

Common reasons to replace

Replacement may be needed during stabilizer bar, support bracket or bushing service when the factory procedure requires new hardware. Replace a damaged internal drive recess, damaged threads, deformation, missing hardware or corrosion affecting reliable installation.

Earlier service may have introduced an incorrect substitute or left damaged fasteners at the bracket. Inspect the mounting arrangement and obtain the correct bolts for its production version before refitting the support pieces.

Rear suspension clunks or changes in roll behavior require diagnosis of the stabilizer bar, bushings, support brackets, end links and surrounding suspension. A new bolt cannot repair a worn bushing, broken end link, bent bar or damaged bracket mounting point. Correct the diagnosed fault before completing the attachment.

Installation and service notes

Follow the factory rear stabilizer bar procedure for the exact suspension arrangement. Support the vehicle and suspension as directed before releasing mounting hardware, and observe any instructions for relieving load from the stabilizer bar assembly.

Inspect the bracket, bushing seating surfaces and mounting threads. Position the support pieces correctly and start the new bolt by hand. Do not force a misaligned bracket into place with the fastener.

Select a drive bit that fully matches the original internal drive recess. Keep the bit seated squarely during installation to avoid damaging the head. Similar-looking drive styles should not be substituted.

Use the specified tightening sequence, torque and any additional angle for this exact bracket connection. Follow the prescribed thread preparation and replacement requirements. Do not transfer a value from an end-link bolt or another M8 fastener.

Confirm that the bushing and bracket are correctly seated, the bar has the required clearance and all mounting positions have the proper hardware. Complete the prescribed suspension operating checks after assembly.

This listing supplies one original bracket bolt. Order the quantity needed for the support positions being serviced and select the other stabilizer components separately.
