OVERVIEW
Genuine VW/Audi Auxiliary Radiator Bracket Sleeve
N-908-208-01 is the genuine sleeve used at specified auxiliary radiator bracket attachment points and the separately identified accessory-drive holder location. It is a small cylindrical component within the mounting arrangement, rather than a coolant hose, a sealing ring or the radiator itself. Reusing the correct sleeve helps preserve the original relationship between the bracket, its attachment hardware and the surrounding mount.
This listing supplies one individual sleeve, as shown in the original product photograph. The radiator, brackets, rubber mounting grommets, bolts and nuts are separate components. Order additional sleeves only when the factory assembly and the repair require them.
Technical details
- OEM number: N-908-208-01 / N90820801.
- Confirmed application: Assigned auxiliary radiator bracket and accessory-drive holder sleeve locations; original nominal designation 11 × 11.
- Form: Cylindrical sleeve with an open bore.
- Quantity: One sleeve per purchased unit.
- Application control: Factory cooling configuration, bracket arrangement and the exact sleeve number.
The same standard part number can appear in more than one assembly in a manufacturer’s catalog. This fitment table separates confirmed auxiliary radiator uses from the accessory-drive locating use. A model name alone does not establish that its particular radiator bracket uses this sleeve. Match the original sleeve and the selected vehicle’s factory cooling diagram.
Common reasons to replace
Replacement is appropriate when the original sleeve is missing after disassembly, damaged during removal, deformed at its bore or ends, or corroded enough to affect its fit. It may also be required during bracket repair when the original piece cannot be transferred in serviceable condition.
Inspect the rubber mounts, bracket, fasteners and radiator attachment points together. Movement or a rattle at a radiator mount can have several causes, including a worn grommet, loose hardware or a cracked bracket. A new sleeve does not repair those separate faults and does not cure a coolant leak in the radiator or hoses.
Fitment
These applications require the factory radiator bracket or accessory-drive holder assigned this exact sleeve. Verify equipment and the original part before ordering.
| Vehicle | Model years | Engine | Configuration | Application restrictions |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Audi TTS | 2009–2015 | 2.0L turbocharged gasoline inline-four | 8J Coupe / Roadster; quattro; factory auxiliary radiator; 6-speed S tronic DSG | Original auxiliary-radiator bracket sleeve assigned N90820801. Verify exact bracket, sleeve and mounting point; not every sleeve in the cooling assembly. |
| Audi TT | 2008–2009 | 3.2L naturally aspirated gasoline VR6; PR-T36 | 8J Coupe; quattro; original auxiliary radiator; 6-speed manual / 6-speed S tronic DSG | Original 3.2L auxiliary-radiator bracket point requiring N90820801, nominal 11 × 11. Match original bracket and sleeve arrangement. |
| Audi TT RS | 2013 | 2.5L turbocharged gasoline inline-five; PR-TB9 | 8J Coupe; quattro; original auxiliary-radiator bracket; 6-speed manual | Original auxiliary-radiator bracket sleeve requiring N90820801, 11 × 11. The sleeve's own TB9 entry applies; neighboring G1D automatic-radiator restriction is not assigned to this sleeve. |
| Audi TT RS | 2012 | 2.5L turbocharged gasoline inline-five; PR-TB9 | 8J Coupe; quattro; original alternator/drive-belt idler holder; 6-speed manual | Original accessory-drive holder locating sleeve assigned N90820801, 11 × 11. Match holder and exact locating bore; not a radiator attachment in this row. |
Installation and service guidance
For the TT RS accessory-drive holder application, follow the factory belt and holder service procedure. Support the affected assembly, inspect the locating bore and seat the sleeve in its original position before fastening. A locating sleeve is separate from the pulley, bearing and mounting bolts.
Allow the engine and cooling system to cool before working near the radiator. Follow the factory access procedure, support any component whose mounting hardware is removed, and retain the location and order of the original sleeve, grommet and fasteners.
Clean and inspect the bracket and mounting surfaces. Check that the replacement sleeve fits the specified location without forcing or substituting unrelated washers or spacers. Renew damaged companion components separately. Tighten the assigned hardware to the factory procedure and values for that assembly; the sleeve itself is not a threaded fastener.
Check that the radiator is supported correctly and that nearby hoses and wiring have clearance after assembly. If the repair requires opening the coolant circuit, complete the prescribed filling, bleeding and leak checks. If the circuit remains closed, verify the repaired bracket and mount through the normal inspection procedure.
