OVERVIEW

Genuine VW/Audi Engine Oil Cooler Line O-Ring

N-911-019-01 is the genuine O-ring used at the assigned engine oil cooler line connection. It seals the specified joint between the oil pipe and its mating component. This small seal is separate from the cooler, oil line, mounting hardware and other seals elsewhere in the lubrication system.

This listing supplies one individual O-ring, matching the original product photograph. Order the quantity required for the connections being serviced. A replacement oil cooler pipe assembly may already include a seal; inspect the contents of that assembly before ordering a separate replacement.

Technical details

  • OEM number: N-911-019-01 / N91101901.
  • Confirmed use: Assigned engine oil cooler line connection.
  • Nominal seal size: 24×2 mm, as specified for this exact OEM number.
  • Quantity: One O-ring per purchased unit.
  • Application control: Original oil pipe, mating joint and exact seal assignment.

An O-ring seals through its fit and controlled compression at the connection. The correct groove and mating surfaces are as important as the seal itself. Do not choose a replacement solely because another ring looks similar, and do not substitute an unrelated seal from another oil or coolant connection.

Common reasons to replace

Replace the O-ring when the serviced connection requires a new seal, or when the original ring is cut, flattened, hardened, swollen or otherwise damaged. Seepage around the assigned oil line joint can indicate a sealing problem, but identify the leak source before dismantling the assembly.

Inspect the pipe, mating bore or sealing seat, retaining hardware and nearby connections. Corrosion, scoring, a damaged groove or an incorrectly seated pipe can prevent a new O-ring from sealing properly. A new seal does not repair a cracked cooler, damaged pipe or leaking connection elsewhere.

Fitment

The table covers confirmed 4.2L R8 oil cooler line applications. Match the original pipe connection and OEM seal number before ordering.

Installation and service guidance

Follow the factory lubrication-system procedure for the vehicle and allow hot components and oil to cool before disassembly. Prevent dirt from entering open oil connections, and handle the oil cooler pipe without bending or stressing its joints.

Remove the original seal carefully without scratching its groove or mating surface. Inspect and clean the connection using the prescribed method. Fit the new O-ring without twisting, pinching or stretching it unnecessarily. Use only the lubrication or assembly preparation specified by the factory procedure; do not add unapproved sealants.

Seat the pipe fully and secure it using the assigned hardware and factory tightening procedure. Restore any oil lost during the repair according to the vehicle’s required oil-level checking method. After completing the repair, inspect the joint for leakage and recheck the disturbed connections as prescribed.

This O-ring restores the seal at its assigned connection. It does not change oil pressure regulation, cooler performance or the lubrication system’s service requirements.
