Genuine lower liftgate-trim screw-receiving clip
The N-911-680-01 Genuine VW/Audi speed nut provides the assigned screw-receiving attachment for the lower liftgate trim on the Mk4 Golf applications listed below.
This is a small clip-on receiver supplied separately from the trim and screw. The genuine replacement number supersedes N0154381 and N0154385 for the stated application. Confirm the original clip position and mating hardware before ordering.

Common reasons to replace
- The clip is missing after liftgate-trim removal.
- The receiving feature has stripped or deformed.
- The clip is bent and will not grip its mounting edge.
- The clip no longer aligns with the original screw hole.
- Incorrect substitute hardware was fitted during a previous repair.
Inspect the trim attachment tab, receiving edge and mating screw. A replacement clip will not repair cracked trim or an enlarged mounting hole. Check the other original retainers if the lower trim remains loose.

The table requires the Mk4 Golf hatchback and original lower liftgate-trim arrangement. The 1999 and 2006 transition years require body-generation identification; other Golf generations are excluded from these rows.

Installation guidance
Follow the factory liftgate-trim access procedure. Protect the trim and nearby wiring, remove damaged hardware carefully and place the replacement clip on the original mounting edge. Align the trim and engage the correct screw without forcing it.
Confirm that the clip remains seated and the trim lies evenly before following the prescribed tightening instruction. Restore all adjoining retainers and check clearance around the latch, wiring and other liftgate components.
