WHT-003-683 is the Genuine VW/Audi 7/16–20 x 40 seat belt bolt for the assigned restraint mounting connections below. Its recessed multipoint drive and bearing arrangement match the original bolt design.
Restraint assemblies use several bolt lengths and shoulder arrangements. The complete part number and exact connection matter; a similar thread size alone is not a valid replacement specification.

The thread is 7/16 inch in nominal diameter with 20 threads per inch, and the factory length designation is 40 mm. Use the correct multipoint tool rather than forcing a hexagon or Torx bit into the recess.

- Threads are damaged or crossed.
- The internal drive is rounded or damaged.

Inspect the belt assembly, guide and anchorage threads. Follow the complete restraint inspection procedure after a collision. New mounting hardware alone cannot establish the serviceability of a damaged belt or body anchorage.
